The grey mare wandered through the lands, her muzzle low to the ground. It brushed over the soft grass that grew there, but never did it open to allow the food to enter. She really just wasn't hungry. Her breath blew from her nose out and around in the soft grass, stirring it gently. Her grey ears flicked around, trying to pick up any sound. Her breath and hoofbeats were the only sounds she heard, though. She seemed to be the only one in the area. At least, she hoped that she was. If there was a stallion anywhere around here, it would not be good for her. She knew where she was, yet she had no intentions of leaving any time soon. Maybe it was a stupid plan, but she didn't really care if she was force claimed or not right now. She just needed a home. She probably should have tried to get to Scarlet Meadows a little faster than she was moving right now, but she didn't really hear anything around her, so why would she?
She sighed heavily as she met a stream. She looked down at the running water watching as a leaf flowed by. She sighed again and lowered her muzzle to the water. She took a long drink, and then lifted her head. She looked around to see if there was anything around her. When she didn't see anything, she crossed the stream and continued on her way to Scarlet Meadows, hoping slightly that she would get there in time.

Adonis grazed quietly nearby, seemly oblivious of the mare's presence for a few moments until the winds changed and her scent was blown towards him. His ears pricked, head raising slowly and bright orbs fixed on the femmorra. Curiosity sparked within his head, studying how she moved in a brisk yet unrushed manner to the north of the hilly lands of the claiming grounds. He took a soft step forward slightly into her path, keeping his head even with hers and body at an angle so that his presence was unthreatening to her and she would not be startled.
"Good Evening." He nickered quietly in greeting.
Who was this mare? he wondered to himself. It was not a proper time for a female to be ought alone by herself in the claiming terra, being the large amount of darker natured studs from the south that lurked here. They would more than love to take advantage of a pretty mare like her. Well, not on his watch anyhow.

She's de Grey stopped in her tracks when she saw the stallion. He stepped into her path, and she backed up a few steps, somewhat frightened at first. As soon as she saw his posture, though, she knew that he was not meaning to frighten her. She knew very well that he could be one of the dark stallions of the south with sick things planned for the mares of the herd, but she stayed anyway. Her eyes scanned over his light pelt. He didn't seem to be threatening her, but she still worried slightly. Now she hoped that she had made it to Scarlet Meadows in time.
"Greetings, sir." She whinnied politely, bowing her head slightly in greeting.
She didn't know if she should give her name to him since he hadn't asked or given her his name, but she decided that it was best if she did. He was probably going to claim her without question anyway, it didn't really matter if he knew her name or not.
"I'm She's de Grey. You can call me anything you want, though. I really don't have a specific shortened version of my name." She nickered quietly, introducing herself proudly.
Her eyes scanned over him again, thinking of how handsome he was. Even if he did claim her without her say, would she really mind living with such a handsome stallion as he? She sighed mentally and looked back up at his face. And then there was the question: Would he claim her without her say?

Adonis watched her reaction to him carefully, orbs catching her hesitation and nervousness at his approach. he smoothed the lines of his neck as he lowered his head further, ears relaxing in hopes that his lowered posture would have a calming effect on her. The last thing he wanted was to have her frightened and run off before he could even catch her name. And then, there it was. Greetings Sir. I'm She's de Grey. You can call me anything you want, though. I really don't have a specific shortened version of my name.
She had a lovely musical voice, this much he noted. Soft and light, but with a pretty tone. It matched her whole appearance, which was also quite appealing to the eye, and he made a note of this as well.
"I am Adonis." He replied, his voice comewhat deep, much like the other stags around, but gentle at the same time. "That is an interesting name. Would you protest my calling you Grey for short?"
It was a kindly posed question, as his eyes held no ill intentions for her, only revealing his natural curiosity and well mannered disposition.

She's de Grey watched him, watching as his posture relaxed more. She wondered what he was doing and why he was doing it, but she didn't ask. A thought came to her, though, that suggested that maybe he wasn't all that bad. He seemed polite and willing to wait for her to feel comfortable around him before he would take her with him. She relaxed a little and perked her ears forward to catch his words.
I am Adonis. That is an interesting name. Would you protest my calling you Grey for short?
It was a simple question, yet She's de Grey couldn't answer it right away. His voice was deep and magical. She looked into his eyes. Seeing nothing there that would symbolize terrible intentions for her, she shook her head.
"Grey is fine. And thank you."
She finished speaking and then looked around, looking for any other stallions that really would have ill intentions for her. Maybe Adonis didn't have any for her, but he could have been a trap for some stallion who did. When she didn't see anything, she turned back to Adonis, ears forward to catch his words if he said any more.

Grey is fine. And thank you. These were her words. He nodded in acknowledgment of her thanks, eyes still on hers for a brief moment before straying away as he lifted his head and scanned the terra around him.
Night was well on its way, the shadows stretching and reaching out as if meaning to touch them, and a cold wind had begun to seep through the nearby cluster of trees. Adonis's ears flicked back and forward with the sounds, carefully making a note of all that was around the two of them. Another stud could be seen in the distance, and Adonis turned to the side, muscled body raising itself out of the reserved and comforting position it was in and taking on a more haughty air, his head raised to look at the other head on. He stood like that for a mere moment before seeing results, and the other stud moved on. It was this event that caused him to make the next move here.
Do you have a place to go for the night? I am King of the Diamond Lakes in the Eastern kingdoms, and you are welcome to join me in my herd.
He left it an open question, though was not sure what he would do if she refused. This was a dangerous place at night.
