Once the best of friends, rivals Natalia Caprice and Lilith Riddle, daughters of neighboring stables, were pitted against each other in their family's "friendly" competition. Taking place two generations after both stables were founded.
The two friends were preparing for the inter-schooling 3-day event games. Each one worked their horses to their breaking points, hoping to bring glory to their family's names. All was well between them, though. They loved a little competition, to see who was doing better.
The battle was on, and at this point, Natalia was going for the gold. She was determined, and had her mind set on winning. Second or third was not an option. She was willing to throw her friendship away to stay at the top. And today was the day for Show Jumping, the final event of the games. Natalia was pretty much a shoe-in to win. Jumping was her passion.
When it was Lily's turn, she and her horse McKinley were moving gracefully around the arena. McKinley's hooves didn't even graze a rail. It was near the end, and Lily had but only a jump left. Natalia couldn't take it. At the rate Lily was moving, she would for sure become victorious. Without a second thought, Natalia tossed her crop out into the ring. McKinley spooked. Lily lost, and Greenwood Stables remained the champion.
Now, many years later, Natalia Caprice, headmistress of Greenwood Stables Academy, has decided to open the school to the public as a boarding school. Even though the judges all those years ago had argued that Lily's accusation against her friend was merely a lie out of jealousy, Lily Riddle wouldn't let it go.
The battle breaks out once again, twenty five years later. This time, it's Lily's daughter verses Natalia's son. Each of them looking to prove who is really worthy of the title, "Champion".
